This surface is extended yet further when using the free extension table provided. As with all professional sewing machines the Janome 1600 p features the knee lifter so that you may lift the presser foot whilst leaving your hands free to handle the work. Unlike the average basic industrial sewing machine the 1600 P offers high tech domestic features such as needle up down control, adjustable speed control and automatic thread trimming facility. The fully adjustable foot pressure ensures perfect stitching results on all fabrics.
